Here Are the Winners
After hours of thinking and an awful headache we have the winners!
Personally I feel the winner wasn't a difficult choice, since this piece really stands out with it's original idea, but the rest were really hard to choose since there were so many beautiful entries with creative ideas to choose from.
All of us judges had one same choice but placed differently, which is why I asked my "deputy judge" (

The Ultimate Treasure Is...
by *Dabull04"I feel that a lot of times even tho people look over family as treasure, we look over an animal's opinion as well. David (DaBull) captured my attention with this "treasure" piece by reminding me that family is the most precious treasure we have, but also that animals can also consider their family treasure. The pose and expression of the gorillas (orangutangs?) is priceless and very common to the pose a mother and new born child would be seen in."
"I like this picture for its tenderness and the bond between a mother and child among animals. It reminds us how similar we are to them on the fact that we love our children too; on how we play with them, how we provide for them, and children are also our greatest treasures, even more so to animals since children contributes to their population. The emotions are felt in this piece with the mothers love portrayed very well in her embracing her offspring. The picture is unique in the sense that despite being still a picture of a baby and a mother, this time its portrayed with different models instead of humans."
I guess these comments from our judges sum up why this piece deserved to place.

Look...
by ~Devil-Wolf-1999"The artist hit it on the head in her description as to why human sight is also a treasure. Whether you are a digital artist, a pen/pencil/paper artist, a photographer, etc you must have your sight in order to succeed. Where would any of us be without the value of our eyes?"
For me personally this was a really, really difficult decision when I started thinking my choices, but eventually I chose this one out of her two entries. And when this was suggested twice to place by our judges too, there was no doubt anymore.
Sight is indeed a valuable treasure and it should be treasured. Like the artist herself said: "I can't imagine not seeing all the colours of the world. That would be horrible. I looked at the sky this afternoon and the tree just suddenly went a stark emerald green against the sapphire of the sky and that struck me as wow."
Value your sight when you have it, it's one of the greatest treasures human can have.

Useless Treasures...
by *Svera"A unique idea where it is rarely used. It makes me wonder how similar this behaviour is to humans when it comes to something we have too much until we are no longer able to see the value in it. --- I love the attention to detail in this piece, especially the grains on the boat and the little doll at the bottom. (Dedication and details hands down to this piece.
We've probably all heard the story at some point of our lives, but to think of it this way... it sure wouldn't have crossed my mind!
Besides originality, I was looking for a deeper meaning also and found delightfully many sides from this piece. Like the title says while the treasure is useless to Charon, a man who's immortal and stays in Hades for all eternity, the certain littel artifacts might've once meant a great deal to someone. For instance the doll... The second I noticed it I had an image of little girl carrying around a doll that she loves and treasures wherever she goes. It's a sweet image.
It also made me think how no matter how much gold and treasures one might have when we live, we'll all lose them in the end... they're totally useless. Life itself is a great treasure, and having that little doll reminding me how someone might lose it at young age made me a little teary eyed. There's just so many sides to this drawing and it's what makes it beautiful.
One of the other reasons why it deserved to win, was the the time and dedication put to make it. The detail is amazing from the coins to vases and weapons...
All together an amazing piece of art!

Of course if you want, you can do something different, but the one your drawing right now is honestly just as good all the other entries so far, so don't you dare giving up now!
And you can enter with two pieces, it's in the rules, so if after your SW pic, you want to draw something else, you can enter with it too.
Besides it's quite predictable that most of the drawings are of Star Wars, since pretty much everyone of my watchers are fans, and it has lots of battles.
I love your journal layout, no matter what it is!

I love it too!
I love looking at new journal layout too. Just changing it all the time is so time consuming.
